The "Magat Dam" will be forced to shut down its operations if it is not going to rain from now until March 21. Should there be a "shutdown," it would
would heighten the occurrence of "rotating brownouts" in Northern Luzon.

This would also affect the "power supply" of Northern Luzon including the provision of "irrigation water" to vast tracks of agricultural farms. The "Magat dam" supplies power to 7 Luzon provinces.

The power plant’s management uncovered that the "water level" of the 360-megawatt "Magat Dam" has already dropped to 154 meters above sea level which is 26 meters lower than "Magat Dam's" normal level of 180 meters above sea level.

Meantime, the "power shortage" in Mindanao continues caused by "critical water levels" at reservoirs in Lake Lanao and Pulangi prompting the Philippine government to figure out several alternatives to raise energy supply in the South. part of the Philippines.
